ws: 24-28mm (MBGBI9), fw: 11-14mm (Waring & Townsend); bi(tri)voltine in south May, Aug, (Oct), univolitine in north Jun-Jul; creeping willow (Salix repens); NS-B local throughout GB.
ID: Smaller than other Clostera species with a less well-defined "chocolate-tip" at the forewing apex. Antenna bipectinate in male, ciliate in female.
