35.061 Ptocheuusa paupella (Pale Seedhead Moth)
ws: 10-12mm; bivoltine Jun, Aug-Sep; common fleabane (Pulicaria dysenterica), golden samphire (Inula crithmoides); common in damp grasslands, ditches, woodland rides and saltmarsh in S.England, mostly S of the Wash-Severn line.
Generic features: Labial palp S3 shorter than S2, S2 only slightly thickened with appressed scales; Forewing elongate, V7&8 stalked with V6;
Hindwing narrower than forewing, trapezoidal, apex strongly produced
Male genitalia: uncus bilobed, gnathos absent, sacculus spined, saccus broad, aedeagus bulbed; Female genitalia: without signum.
