73.136 Nonagria typhae (Bulrush Wainscot)
fw: 20-24mm; Jul-Sep; bulrush / lesser bulrush (Typha latifolia/angustifolia); common in England and Wales, local in Scotland.
ID: Distinguished from most other ‘wainscots’ by size and presence of black terminal dashes. Globia sparganii (Webb’s Wainscot) also shows the terminal dashes but is smaller (fw: 15-18mm) and has the kidney mark thickly ringed with black.
