fw: 12-15mm; bivoltine May-Jun, Aug; heather (Calluna vulgaris), bell heather / cross-leaved heath (Erica cinerea/tetralix), trefoils / clovers (Trifolium spp) and vetches (Vicia spp); common on heath and moor throughout GB.
ID: very variable in colour and distinctness of cross-lines, but shouldn’t be confused with other species
