ID: Very similar to other British Dioryctria species; see Dioryctria for more information
External: Averages larger; smoothly curved subterminal line with a single dentation convex to the termen.
Male genitalia: Apex of valva sinuate with a short hook-like apical spine; aedeagus lacks any strong basal cornuti
Female genitalia: clear hyaline area between sclerotised ductus bursae and spiny signa of bursa copulatrix
