73.061 Stilbia anomola (Anomolous)
fw: 13-17mm; Aug-Sep; wavy/tufted hair-grass (Deschampsia flexuosa/cespitosa); local in moorland, heathland and some coastal grasslands throughout much of GB but not SE.England.
ID: Forewing narrow. Sexually dimorphic. Male forewing grey, paler towards dorsum with well-marked, concentric white and black ringed, kidney and oval marks and a blackish are between them. Female dark brown-grey with relatively indistinct stigmata. Both sexes show a black spot at the posterior margin of the thorax.
