70.126 Horisme vitalbata (Small Waved Umber)
fw: 14-17mm; bivoltine May-Jun, Aug; traveller's joy (Clematis vitalaba); common in open woodland in SC & SE England and East Anglia, less common in SW.England and north to the Midlands.
ID: Not likely to be confused with any other species. H.tersata (Fern) has a similar shape and colouration but the median fascia is much less boldly marked, showing little contrast with the costal portion of the forewing; and the abdomen has a single black line at the posterior margin of S1.
