ID: Forewing apex slightly hooked. Forewing ground colour pale yellow and may be almost completely unmarked; usually dorsal half of an otherwise obscure kidney mark is reddish-brown. Other reddish-brown markings are variable but may include: a blotchy shading to an obscure subbasal line; a faint antemedian line; an irregular diffuse median fascia between median and postmedian lines; a subterminal costal blotch; a dotted subterminal line and a faintly outlined oval. More heavily marked forms can be similar to Xanthia togata (Pink-barred Sallow), but the latter can be readily distinguished by its deep purplish-pink patagia (collar).
