35.012 Anacampsis blattariella (Birch Roller)
ws: 16-19mm; Jul-Sep; birch (Betula spp); common in heath and woodland in England
ID: See Anacampsis. A.populella/blattariella are very similar and are only reliably separable by genital examination.
Male genitalia: 1. The sclerotised arc in the apical half of the aedeagus is steeply curved and crosses the entire width of the aedeagus 2. The uncus is smoothly rounded, squat or apically flattedned 3. In lateral view, the valvae project beyond the vinculum.
Female genitalia: The posterior margin of the dorsal plate of S8 is conical with a distinct apical nipple.
