fw: 14-15mm; bivoltine May-Jun, Aug-Sep; purple/common toadflax (Linaria purpurea/vulgaris); RDB on coasts of SC&SE.England.
ID: Forewing shows a mixture of brown shades from pale grey-brown or yellow brown to blackish. Black basal streak; pale sinuate antemedian line best marked in dorsal half and interrupted at mid-point by a white streak that extends distally from the black basal streak; curved pale median line in dorsal half only; dark median fascia in dorsal half; small black-ringed white oval; larger white kidney; variable mix of black and white streaks in subterminal area; terminal fringe chequered dark brown and white.
