73.223 Dryobota labecula (Oak Rustic)
fw: 12-15mm (Waring & Townsend); Oct-Dec; evergreen oak (Quercus ilex); new to Britain 1999, now spreading through the southern counties of England
ID: Ground colour dark brown to blackish; patagia and labial palps paler yellowish brown. Most obvious marking is the kidney mark which may be yellowish or white (form albomacula). Crosslines paler brown; antemedian - zigzag, finely incompletely edged black on both sides; postmedian curved around kindney mark; subterminal irregular obsolescent towards dorsum. Oval mark round, pale outlined; dart mark black or outlined black.
