70.148 Eupithecia inturbata (Maple Pug)
fw: 8-10mm; Jul-Aug; field maple (Acer campestre); local on chalk & limestone in England
ID: Forewing with small dark central spot; dark subterminal fascia broken and uneven; dark terminal line usually conspicuous on all four wings. E.vulgata (Common Pug) is larger (fw 10-12mm) and usually warmer brown; E.tenuiata (Slender Pug) is very similar.
Female genitalia: ductus bursae long and slender with small annular sclerotisation in anterior half; bursa copulatrix extensively spiculate, with a clear band running almost its full length
