07.007 Adela cuprella (Sallow Longhorn)
ws: 14-16mm; Apr; sallow (Salix spp); uncommon in heaths and fens throughout GB
ID: Maxillary palps rudimentary; forewing without median fascia, without black basal streak; ws 13mm+; fw bronzy-gold; tegulae bronzy-purple, costa and apex coppery. Male has black hairs on vertex, frons and and labial palps, these hairs being ferruginous or yellow in female. Male antenna is 2½ x forewing length, 1¼ x in female. Similar to Nemophora cupriacella which flies in Jun-Jul
