12.020 Nemapogon variatella (Varied Fungus Moth)
ws: 10-14mm (MBGBI2); Mar-May and less commonly Jun-Aug; RDB - local in barns, warehouses and granaries in the London area.
Nemapogon variatella §1 male
ID: Forewing white with brown/blackish markings and suffusion which are variable in extent. Head white. Similar to other Nemapogon species and requires genital determination.
Male genitalia: Apex of valva with a distinct curved point; apex of gnathos arms fimbriate.
Female genitalia:
