35.077 Monochroa hornigi (Persicaria Borer)
ws: 9-12mm (MBGBI4.2); Jul-Aug; pale persicaria (Persicaria lapathifolia); NS-A - S&SE England
ID: Forewing plain brown with a single (2nd discal) stigma; fw >4.5mm; A1-4 dorsum not ochreous; apex of antenna with irregular white rings
Male genitalia: apex of valva produced into a short blunt posteriorly directed process. The genitalia of the rare M.divisella and M.niphognatha appear similar in the drawings in MBGBI4.2 and these two appear to be more easily distinguished on external features, both being paler with 2 or 3 stigmata.
