Synonym: Clepsis costana (Pierce and Metcalfe)
ID: Male has a strongly arched costa with a costal fold from base to 1/3; female has a sinuate costa and a slightly produced apex. Characteristically the median fascia becomes diffuse dorsally, this feature distinguishing it from similar specimens of C.rurinana, in which the median fascia is better marked dorsally. Very variable: ground colour whitish-ochreous through yellowish to reddish-brown; brown irroration minimal to heavy; markings vary from obsolescent to well-marked.
