65.013 Ochropacha duplaris (Common Lutestring)
fw: 14-18mm; Jun-Aug; birch (Betula spp); common throughout GB
ID: Shows considerable variation in the strength of cross-lines and bands. May be similar to Tetheella fluctuosa (Satin Lutestring) but differs in: size, T.fluctuosa being larger albeit with some overlap (fw 17-21mm); a small dark crescent in the centre of the forewing in T.fluctuosa, 2 dark spots being in this position in O.duplaris; and a diagonal dark dash near the forewing apex which meets the costa coincident with a pale subterminal line in T.fluctuosa and at the apex in O.duplaris.
