49.015 Archips xylosteana (Variegated Golden Tortrix)
ws: M15-21mm, F16-23mm; Jul; various deciduous trees and shrubs; common in woodland and gardens throughout GB
ID: A.crataegana is similar but usually larger (M19-22, F23-27mm); it is generally browner; in the male the median fascia is obsolete at the costa; the female has fuscous reticulation and a more prominent forewing apex.
