49.259 Zeiraphera ratzeburgiana (Spruce Bud Moth)
ws: 12-15mm; Jul-Aug; various coniferous trees; local in coniferous woodland throughout GB
ID: Varies in intensity of forewing markings. Similar to Z. rufimitrana but has a larger and more sharply angulated basal patch,
which approaches the median fascia more closely to enclose a nearly triangular blotch of
ground colour. Z.ratzeburgiana also has a paler hindwing.
