73.174 Oligia latruncula (Tawny Marbled Minor)
fw: 11-13mm (Waring & Townsend), ws: 24-27mm (MBGBI10); May-Jul; grasses (Poaceae); common in England, Wales and S.Scotland, local further north in Scotland.
ID: See Oligia. Very variable and cannot be reliably separated from O.strigilis (Marbled Minor) or O.versicolor (Rufous Minor) without genital dissection. Blackish specimens with a brown median or subterminal fascia and no orange posterior thoracic tuft are likely to be O.latruncula.
Male genitalia: harpe - short, broad, flattened and triangular; pollex - short and stout; harpe slightly longer than pollex.
Female genitalia: no significant constriction between antrum and ductus bursae; small sclerotised area of corpus bursae
