ID: Males are distinct in having a large white torno-apical blotch as well as the large white medio-dorsal blotch and a grey hindwing.
Male genitalia are indistinguishable from those of E.cirsiana, with which this species was formerly considered conspecific.
Females require genital dissection to distinguish from E.cirsiana/cnicolana/sticticana.
