ID: basically brownish (irrorate) with whitish-yellow-tipped scales on the head and forewing, especially in the apical half; indistinct silvery-metallic subbasal fascia in which the scales lack the irroration; medio-dorsal blotch in which the scales are more extensively whitish; indistinct silvery-metallic tornal spot in which the scales lack irroration, bordered costally by a distinctive C-shaped black mark (ocellus). Whitish costal strigulae, some of which are extended by a silvery striae towards the medio-dorsal blotch, ocellus and termen. Hindwing whitish, broadly suffused fuscous along termen; darker in female.
