49.358 Grapholita tenebrosana (Rose Piercer)
ws: 12-14mm (BTM), fw: 5.0-6.5mm (Sterling & Parsons); Jun-Jul; roses (Rosa spp); local throughout GB
ID: Forewing dark brown, short pale costal strigulae in apical half, weak ocellus with several black streaks. Similar to G.funebrana from which it can be distinguished by colour of the labial palps - whitish in G.tenebrosana, concolorous with forewing in G.funebrana.
